MAKATA Artistic Association
MAKATA Artistic Association is a non-governmental organization, funded in 1998. The Association centres its attention mostly on promoting professional non-commercial artists, active beyond the official cultural institutions, as well as strives to encourage small communities to an active participation in cultural life. The organization fulfils its mission by putting together such cultural projects as festivals, workshops, exhibitions, international and intercultural artistic projects in Poland and abroad (Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kosovo).
The projects include:
Open Art Festival WISŁOSTRADA, European Art Festival ZBLIŻENIA 2001-2006, Warsaw Independent Art Festival ŻĄDŁO 2001, “Look out of the window” Kosovo 2001 – in cooperation with Polish Humanitarian Action PAH, International Theatre Festival DIONIZJE (from 1995)
