Foundation for Support of Local Initiatives – NOK
Foundation for Support of Local Initiatives – NOK was established in 2003. It is situated in Natolin’s Centre of Culture (NOK in Polish, hence the name) and supports the operation of this institution. The organization advocates cultural activities – in particular in the disciplines of music and theatre.
During its five years of operation, with the aid of subsidies from the city, the Foundation organized many interesting events, and among other things, a cycle of concerts entitled Warsaw Guitar Lounge. From this cycle sprang to life the International Warsaw Guitar Festival. This year the 5th edition of the event is planned for 13th and 14th of November 2009.
